Renovation of an 1896 school into faculty apartments for Williams College. The building windows were replaced by (same size) low-E insulated units, and the walls were insulated with blown-in urethane foam. The building is very tight, and had no difficulty passing the Energy Star blower door test.

Two high efficiency Buderus boilers provide hydronic and domestic hot water. Heating is provided by a combination of in-floor radiant (lower level), fin-tube radiation, and hot water coils in packaged terminal air-conditioning units (PTACs). Units are air-conditioned by centrally located PTACs, and ductless split system air-conditioning units.

The building received a Home Energy Rating System score of 89.7, 11.1% better than required for Energy Star certification. This building is certified as an Energy Star building.
