The Hawthorne Valley Farm Store is a commercial biodynamic farm store located in Ghent, NY. The facility includes a retail area, eatery, bakery, deli-prep, office mezzanine, receiving/loading dock, and cooler and mechanical spaces. The retail area is air-conditioned by two split system air-handling units and two-stage condensing units with dehumidification control, as it was important to control relative humidity to avoid condensation on display coolers. Heat reclaim from the large coolers and freezer is used to heat domestic hot water. Heating is by two Buderus boilers.
