The Hanover High School is a 200,000 square foot high school located in downtown Hanover, NH. The project consisted of a challenging renovation of three attached buildings plus the addition of a gym and cafeteria.
The mechanical system features a Messersmith woodchip boiler backed up by three Buderus oil fired boilers. The old steam heating system was replaced with a modern hydronic system. Unit ventilators serve most classrooms. The gym, auditorium, and cafeteria have air-handling units with demand-controlled ventilation. Pumps are equipped with variable speed drives and there are DDC Controls throughout. An air-cooled chiller cools administration areas and the library.
